Configuration creation

To disable the Microsoft Store app on your user’s devices, the following configuration needs to be done in Intune:

  • Login to the Intune admin center.
  • Go to Devices >Configuration
  • Create New Profile
  • Select Platform as Windows 10 and later.
  • Profile type: Settings Catalog.

  • In Configuration Setting, click on Add setting and search “store”
  • Add “Turn off the Store application” and mark enable

  • Select the assignment All Devices.

After the policy is applied to the end-user device

Once this policy has been deployed to all devices, try to open the Microsoft Store application. It will show that the Microsoft Store app is blocked with error code 0x800704EC
