Configuration creation
To disable the Microsoft Store app on your user’s devices, the following configuration needs to be done in Intune:
- Login to the Intune admin center.
- Go to Devices >Configuration
- Create New Profile
- Select Platform as Windows 10 and later.
- Profile type: Settings Catalog.
- Add meaningful Names and description
- In Configuration Setting, click on Add setting and search “store”
- Add “Turn off the Store application” and mark enable
- Search again for “Microsoft Store App”
- Select Allow apps from the Microsoft app store to auto-update and select Allowed.
- Add Scope tag or leave it for Default
- Select the assignment All Devices.
- Review and create.
- Allow some time to reflect on all devices and then you can test with any end-user device.
After the policy is applied to the end-user device
Once this policy has been deployed to all devices, try to open the Microsoft Store application. It will show that the Microsoft Store app is blocked with error code 0x800704EC
