As soon as we set up the new system and opened Edge it asked to configure with your account. It is important to have sign-in and sync enabled because when you change or rebuild the system and sign in Edge in your new system all bookmarks, history and other settings are deployed without any effort. I have created this article for the configuration of Edge Auto sign-in via Intune.
Configuration of Auto sign-in and Sync enable:
- Open Microsoft Intune Portal
- Click on Devices & go to the Windows section
- Go to Configuration and create a new configuration. Select Administrative templates
- Add a meaningful Name and Description of the configuration profile.
- Select Computer configuration and search for “Browser Sign-In setting”
- Select the force sign-in option
- Now, add one more config for default sync.
- Search config with the name “Configure whether a user always has a default profile automatically signed in with their work or school account”
- Select the profile & mark it to enable
- Click on Next
- Assign proper scope tag or leave it Default.
- Select the assignment, you can assign to a group of users or all users.
- Finally, review the entire policy and click on Create.
